When do you send them? If you are having a wedding abroad, it is good to give out as much notice as possible, so people can plan holidays, book flights and find cheap accommodation. Wedding invites usually go out about 3 months in advance, so you can work it out backwards from there. Remember you are not expecting people to RSVP to a Save the Date, but it can help you get a feel for numbers if they do.
