You have sent out your Invites via Paperless Wedding. Why did you choose PW?
We liked that this was a different way of inviting our guests. Giving that our wedding is overseas we had a lot of information that we wanted to get across and it was really simple to find all this information on line and import it into our website. Of course that fact that it was a cheaper option came into our decision making and that it really would help keep a track of all our guests, their dietary requirements and allow us to have quick communication with all your guests.
What was the feedback from your guests?
Our guests thought it was great! Very informative and innovative.
Would you have planned to send Paper invites if you had not known about PW?
Yes, but we wouldn’t have been able to give our guests all the information we needed to.
You have just over 3 months to go, what was the most difficult thing to organise?
Music! Finding just the right songs that both my fiancé and myself like, for all those important parts during the ceremony and reception.
Do have any big important decisions to make?
Not really, because our wedding is in Rarotonga a lot of the stress is taken care of. Our biggest decision now and what to have and where to go for our picnic the next day.
When did you find your dress?
Ages ago! Probably just a month or 2 after we got engaged. I guess you just know when it’s the right one and if you want it made to fit, you have to allow for about 5 months or so.
Do you have a theme? How many times has it changed or have you known all along?
Well, Rarotonga says beach so that was the first theme but it has jumped around a bit. Our wedding colour theme came from the bridesmaid dress and then because my dress is more traditional rather than beachy our theme is now a bit of both.
What has been the hardest decision so far?
Music! Still trying to work that one out. Oh and finding a reading for the ceremony that we felt was ‘us’.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Seeing my fiancé when I begin to walk towards him during the ceremony.
What are you doing for honeymoon?
We are already there-Raro! We are also going to the paradise island of Aitutaki.
Any advice for other brides to be?
Do little bits all the time, it’s never too early to organize things and it saves you a lot of stress in the end. Start looking for your dress early on and try on everything, even if it’s not what you thought you wanted. The one that makes you feel like a bride is it! Enjoy the whole planning of it rather than being stressed about things (when you can). Take time to remember what you are doing it for and imagine how you will fee when it’s happening, the more you do this the more excited you will feel.
